Our Bodies Change:

We maybe over fat at one time.
We maybe under fat at one time.
We may over drink at one time.
We may over work at one time.
We may under play at one time.
We may get a tattoo or two.
We may colour our hair.
We may cut our hair.
We may lose our hair.
We may lose a breast.
We may lose a arm.
We may lose a leg or toe.
We may lose a job.
We may lose a loved one.
We may gain a new home.
We may gain glory.
We may gain wealth.
Yet what is unchanging is the...
Soul
Once it is truly felt and the experience move you to tears.
Being of service is all that is left.

So tell me now what your are, yet whom you are.
Then keep looking some more.
Much love

Aging

Mist and snow blot out the world.
Bony trees are thinly fleshed with ice.
A couple laughs below a stone monument,
But behind a bristled hedge,
A cloaked woman sings a dirge.
Old age is lonely.
Dreams of those I've buried haunt me.
Was I ever ready to shoulder this mantle?
It smothered a carefree youth.
Now neither parent, lover, nor friends have I,
And great fame is a distant as spring's leaves.
